The history of Henan University Hospital can be traced back to 1912. As a hospital directly affiliated to Henan University, it is a Campus Medical and Health Care Institution including public health, prevention and health care, health emergency, basic medical services, health education, health insurance and family planning.

The hospital enjoys a building area of more than 7600 square meters, consisting of Minglun Campus Hospital and Jinming Campus Medical Department. It is responsible for the basic medical services, treatment of common diseases and frequently-occurring diseases of teachers and students, undertaking the prevention and management of infectious diseases in school, prevention and intervention of chronic non-communicable diseases, emergency response for public health emergencies, family planning management, etc. Every year, teachers, retirees and students are examined for health, and various activities such as disease prevention, health education and health care are carried out.

So far, the hospital has eight functional departments and five vocational departments, namely, General Office of College of Medicine, the Family Planning Office of Henan University, the Prevention and Health Section, the Medical Insurance Section, the Medical Affairs Section, the Nursing Department, the Finance Section, the Procurement Office, the Minglun Medical Department, the Jinming Medical Department, the Medical Technologic Section, Medical and Health Devices Management Section and the Health Management Section. The hospital is equipped with regular medical facilities, such as color ultrasonography, full-automatic biochemical analyzer, Medical X-ray Machine and so on. There are 55 workers in the hospital, including 8 senior staff with titles above vice-senior, 27 people with intermediate title and 6 masters.
