Dr. Teng Tieshan is an accomplished Associate Professor and Master's Thesis Supervisor at the Basic Medical College of Henan University. He currently serves as the Director of the Parasitology Teaching and Research Office, Secretary of the Graduate Party Branch, and Foreign Affairs Secretary at the college. Dr. Teng has been honored as a Kaifeng Municipal Science and Technology Innovation Talent and is an editor for the international journal Gene & Protein in Disease. He is also a distinguished expert in the Henan Provincial Science Association's Review and Consultation Expert Database of the Chinese Society of Translational Medicine. In the fall of 2023, he was appointed as the Deputy Dean of the Medical College at Xinyang Vocational and Technical College on a rotational basis.

Dr. Teng has an extensive research background, having participated in and led numerous projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Henan Provincial Major Science and Technology Projects, and Postdoctoral Natural Science Foundation projects. He holds three national invention patents. His research primarily focuses on biological markers of major diseases, and he has published 18 SCI papers as the corresponding or first author. As the lead author, he has received two first prizes for outstanding scientific and technological papers from the Henan Provincial Department of Education and two first prizes for outstanding papers at the 17th Kaifeng Natural Science Academic Achievement Awards.

In addition to his research achievements, Dr. Teng has been awarded the second prize in the Henan University Teaching Quality Competition and has been recognized as an outstanding instructor for the Henan University Undergraduate Innovation and Entrepreneurship Training Program. He actively contributes to the academic community as a member of the Henan Medical Association and a committee member of the Infectious Diseases and Molecular Immunology Professional Committee of the Henan Immunological Society.
